As an entrepreneur and business, one must always be in motion and evolve to maintain balance, and if our life and world are not in balance, then all else matters less.

Therefore, this piece of jewelry is also a gentle reminder that we all can do our part to keep ourselves and the world in balance.

What does balance in life mean to you?

Having balance in my life means a lot to me. Only if I am in balance myself, do I have the surplus energy to be a proper leader and a good mother, partner, and friend. I try to listen to my body, which fortunately sends quite clear signals when I am pushing it too much. I have learned the hard way what the consequences can be if you do not listen to your body. And I would very much like to avoid experiencing that again.

For me, it's the simple things that are so important – I need to take care of my sleep, get plenty of exercise, eat healthily, and then I get a treatment from a physiotherapist every other month, which corrects the imbalances in my body. Moreover, it's important to have fun along the way. I try to do more of what makes me happy and gives me energy than what does the opposite.

What does balance in the world mean to you?

It's incredibly important that we take care of the world we have, and I actually think we have a responsibility to actively do something to protect it. That's also why we started byBiehl's green journey.

We know we're not perfect. But it lies close to my heart and the rest of the byBiehl team that we constantly do what we can to improve.

We plant "CO2-hungry" mangrove trees and remove waste from the ocean. We have switched to producing everything in 100% recycled silver and gold, and we are fully engaged in reviewing all our other processes to find more sustainable solutions. For example, we now make sustainable gift boxes – made of FSC paper and naturally degradable materials, and use biodegradable plastic.

And then we hope that we can inspire others to think about how they treat our planet, and how we leave it as a good place for the next generations.
